The Jewish Holocaust Centre's education department works with students from a large cross section of primary schools, secondary schools and universities.  In 2010 over some 18,000 students attended education programs at the Centre.

Guest speaker: Monika Krawczyk, CEO of The Foundation of the Preservationj of Jewish Heritage in Poland (FODZ) will give a lecture on 'Preserving Jewish Heritage in Poland today'.

The Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland is today one of the most important and best known organisations involved in the protection of the monuments of Jewish culture in Poland. During the first decade of its existence (2002–2012), the Foundation had many spectacular successes, which had an important and lasting effect on the way in which Jewish heritage issues are perceived.

Lipstadt’s (Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz) legal battle for historical truth against David Irving (Cannes Award winner Timothy Spall), who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust denier.

The Jewish Holocaust Centre’s 12-week education course is designed to give participants a detailed understanding of the origins, stages and aftermath of the Holocaust.

The course will be taught by Sue Hampel OAM, Dr Bill Anderson, Dr Michael Cohen, Paul Forgasz, Dr Margaret Taft and Dr Andre Oboler.

The JHC Film Club will be screening "Shores of Light" (2015) 52 mins, Hebrew, Italian & English subtitles.
Directed by Yael Katzir

Guest Speaker: Moshe Fiszman, Survivor and inmate of DP Camp Santa-Maria-di-Leuca.

This is the poignant untold story of warmth and compassion after a terrible war. Thousands of Jewish survivors arrived in Southern Italy after WWII, on their way to the land of Israel. To their surprise they were welcomed by the poor local Italians.

JHC Social Club Guest Speaker, Nivy Balachandran, Regional Coordinator of Australia-Pacific, United Religions Initiative will give a lecture on “Confronting Bigotry”.

Nivy Balachandran is a Juris Doctor (Monash), Master of Arts (UniMelb) and a Bachelor of Arts, (RMIT) and is a recognized leader in interfaith and intercultural affairs, and has represented Australia at interfaith conferences in France, South Korea, New Zealand, the Philippines, Malaysia, India and Pakistan.

A new display at the Australian War Memorial pays homage to victims of the Holocaust and honours thousands of survivors who made Australia their home after the end of World War II.

A new permanent display has been launched at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra to pay tribute to victims of the Holocaust.

While marking the deaths of six million Jews, the exhibit also includes stories of the thousands of survivors that made new homes in Australia after the end of World War II.

Developed by the Australian War Memorial and the Jewish Holocaust Centre, the exhibit expands on the small number of relics previously on display.
