Amsterdam 1940-1945: the shadow of my life, Bep Gomperts

Bep Gomperts is a child survivor of the Holocaust. She and her family in Nazi-occupied Holland went into hiding. Bep was separated from her mother and lived undercover as a Christian child until they were united at the end of the war. The majority of Bep’s family died in the concentration camps. Told with candour, Bep richly depicts the extraordinary courage of innocent civilians engulfed by war.
