Yoram Gross’ powerful animated stories shaped the identities of countless Australian children who grew up watching them on film and television. Yet it is a little known fact that the many adventures of Blinky Bill, Gross’ depiction of Australian history in The Little Convict (1979), and many other influential narratives, were heavily influenced by the events of the Holocaust in Europe.Event Details

Yvette works in the international humanitarian arena, formerly as an aid worker and currently as a trainer of aid workers. Previously, she has worked in Tanzania for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Misa's Fugue is the true story of one boy’s journey through Prague, Terezin, Auschwitz, Mauthausen, Melk, and Gunskirchen as a victim of Nazi oppression.
