Melbourne’s Jewish Holocaust Centre (JHC) reaches an inspirational milestone on 4th March 2009, celebrating 25 years since opening its doors in Elsternwick in 1984. The year will showcase a full calendar of celebration and commemoration planned from February to December which will focus strongly on exciting future plans for the Museum and its research and educational programs.
Since opening, the Centre has welcomed nearly half a million people through its doors. In conjunction with the founders are the hundreds of volunteers and supporters who have been part of the Centre’s growth and who have all played an integral role in weaving the moral and physical fibre of the Holocaust Centre.
Against this historic background, the JHC launches its ‘Fabric of the Future’ campaign and invites you, your organisation or company to participate in the wide-reaching partnership and sponsorship initiatives for the duration of the year’s celebrations. Included you will find the calendar of events and the sponsorship packages which offer specific fabric-titled opportunities to sponsor either the full year or individual events.
The JHC welcomes your inclusion in one or more of these innovative programs and by contacting Bernard Korbman, Executive Director, we can provide further information and tailor your requirements to suit.
For contact information, and an Expression of Interest form please view or download the PDF brochure on this page.
Proud dedication to Holocaust remembrance and education through
humanity & understanding in community.
The Jewish Holocaust Centre was founded in 1984 by a group of survivors of the Holocaust who sought refuge in Melbourne. They made it their mission to educate Australians by sharing their most personal and difficult stories commemorating families and communities who were among the six million Jewish people murdered during the Nazi reign of terror during World War II from 1933 to 1945.
